Both, vinyl and CD do sound amazing. Crystal clear voice, deep bass. Lots of details. I bought Bat For Lashes Album "The Bride" years later, which is also a good album but the recording quality is not even close. Every track has the sound and texture of a "TVD" moment, and this album is an excellent addition to the show. But you don't have to be a show watcher to enjoy the songs (although for anyone interested, "The Vampire Diaries" is highly recommended quality TV). Don't let the cover art fool you - this CD stands on its own.
